Robert K. Devies, Ph.D.
Dr. Devies is a co-founder of Psychological and Family Consultants, Inc. (PFC). He earned a B.A. in psychology and M.A. in rehabilitation counseling from Bowling Green State University.
He later earned an M.A. in clinical psychology from Akron University and Ph.D. from Kent State University. He holds membership in the American Psychological Association (Divisions of Neuropsychology, Health Psychology, Independent Practice of Psychology and Rehabilitation Psychology), Ohio Psychological Association, and National Registry of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Dr. Devies holds privileges at Aultman and Alliance Community Hospitals and Affinity Medical Center. He has also held clinical professorships in psychology at Ohio University School of Osteopathic Medicine and Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
After working in community corrections and vocational rehabilitation from 1968 through 1975, Dr. Devies established PFC in 1976. From 1973 to 1982 he was Associate Professor and Chairman of the Departments of Psychology and Graduate School of Counseling at Walsh University. From 1983 he has been the consulting psychologist for the Internal Medicine residency program at Aultman Hospital and Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Finally, Dr. Devies has served PFC as president or chief executive officer since 1995.
Practice specialty areas at PFC include adult forensic psychology, medical inpatient/outpatient consultation, rehabilitation, criminal and civil court consultation, and assessment and treatment of emergency service providers.
