Suzanne Beason-Hazen, Ph.D.
Dr. Beason-Hazen earned both a B.S. in psychology and Ph.D. in clinical psychology/neuropsychology from The Ohio State University. She completed an internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University from 1996 to 1999. She has been a licensed psychologist since 1999. Prior to attending graduate school she worked as a licensed physical therapist from 1985 through 1991.
Dr. Beason-Hazen has worked in a variety of settings since coming to Psychological and Family Consultants, Inc. (PFC) in 1999 where she maintains practices in both the Alliance and Canton offices. She is currently on staff at Alliance Community Hospital and Aultman Hospital and provides consultation to both these facilities as well as to the Aultman Woodlawn Transitional Care Unit. She also has provided consultation to geriatric psychiatric units at Massillon Community and Alliance Community Hospitals, the acute rehabilitation unit at Alliance Community Hospital and medical units at Alliance, Massillon and Aultman Hospitals.
Specialty practice areas at PFC include adult clinical neuropsychologic evaluations including assessment of dementia, closed head injury, learning disability, adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other disorders affecting cognitive function. Dr. Beason-Hazen also performs Independent Medical Examinations (IME), bariatric surgery evaluations and adult individual and couples psychotherapy.
