Dr. Paris was raised in Akron, Ohio, completed his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University,
and received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional
Psychology. He completed an APA accredited, internship at The Youth Opportunity Center in Muncie,
Indiana. He was licensed as a psychologist in 2011.
In his first job after licensure, he conducted disability evaluations, many that involved psychological
testing. Dr. Paris was hired at The Charak Center for Health and Wellness in January of 2013. Within 6
months, he was promoted to Clinical Director and he maintained the role for 7 and a half years. In
January of 2021, he worked as a psychologist for a private practice in Brecksville, Ohio. He worked there
for one year before accepting a position at Psychological and Family Consultants.
Dr. Paris has worked and completed training in several hospitals in Gary, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois,
outpatient private practices, residential treatment facilities with adjudicated juveniles, and was also a
staff psychologist at a Federal Prison. He utilizes cognitive-behavioral and evidence-based interventions
in psychotherapy and specializes with teenagers, young adults, and adults. He has extensive training and
experience working with people with depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, and personality disorders.
He also has worked with children for a number of years. He provides psychotherapy and psychological
testing for people 11 or older. He has clinical interests in the aforementioned populations, as well as
those coping with divorce, step-parents, blended families, couples therapy, resilience, addictions,
forensics and sports psychology, and executive coaching and staff development.
Dr. Paris is married and a proud parent of 3 children and 2 dogs. He believes his life experiences and
diverse clinical training have helped him become a better person and clinician. He believes in the
importance of self-care and treating others with respect.
